1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Right Electric LLC ("Right Electric," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit therightelectric.com(the "Site"), contact us, or hire us to perform electrical work. We are a licensed North Carolina electrical contractor based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
2. Information we collect
We only collect information that helps us run the business and serve you. Specifically:
Information you give us directly
- Estimate-request form:name, phone number, email (optional), the service you're asking about, and anything you type into the "Anything we should know?" field.
- Commercial RFQ form: contact name, company, work email, phone, project type, square footage, target start date, and project notes.
- Chat widget: messages you send through the LeadConnector chat bubble. These are stored in our customer-relationship platform.
- Booking widget: if you book a walkthrough through the calendar embed on our Commercial page, your name, email, phone, and selected time slot are recorded.
- Email and phone: anything you send to info@therightelectric.com or tell us when you call (980) 257-3019.
- On-site work:property address, scope of work, photos of the conditions we're working on, and any documentation that lets us complete the job and pass NC electrical inspection.
Information collected automatically
- Basic server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps. We do not run third-party advertising or behavioral-tracking analytics on this Site.
- Local storage:the Site uses your browser's local storage to remember whether you've dismissed the intro splash and the trust-strip at the top of the page. These are not transmitted to us. See our Cookie Policy for details.
- Embedded third-party widgets:the LeadConnector chat and booking widgets may set their own cookies when you interact with them. See "How we share information" below.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to estimate requests, RFQs, and questions you send us.
- Schedule, perform, invoice, and warranty the electrical work we do for you.
- Send appointment confirmations, arrival windows, and quote follow-ups.
- Send occasional marketing or service-update messages to customers and active leads (see "Phone & SMS messaging").
- Keep records required by North Carolina law, our licensing board, our insurer, and tax authorities.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Improve the Site, our forms, and our intake process.
4. Phone & SMS messaging (TCPA)
When you submit a phone number through any form on this Site, or give it to us by phone, email, or in person, you authorize Right Electricto contact you at that number by phone call and by SMS text message for purposes related to your inquiry, project, or account — including appointment confirmations, arrival-window updates, quote follow-ups, invoicing, and occasional marketing messages about our services and promotions.
- Message frequency varies. You may receive transactional messages while you have an active project, and occasional marketing messages no more than a few times per month.
- Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier may charge you for incoming and outgoing messages.

5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providerswho help us run the business under confidentiality obligations — including our hosting provider (Vercel), our database (Supabase), our customer-relationship and SMS platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector), email and calendar providers we use to communicate with you, and our accountant.
- Subcontractors and partnerswe bring onto a job — only the information they need to complete the work.
- Government and regulatory bodies when we are required to: permit offices, electrical inspectors, the North Carolina State Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors, tax authorities, and courts pursuant to lawful process.
- Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of the business.
- With your consent— for example, when you ask us to share a quote or document with your insurer or property manager.
6. Cookies & similar technologies
The Site uses your browser's local storage to remember two preferences: whether you've already seen the intro splash, and whether you've dismissed the trust strip at the top of the page. These are stored only on your device.
The embedded LeadConnector chat widget and booking widget — when you interact with them — may set their own cookies inside their own domains. We do not run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party advertising trackers on this Site. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and instructions on how to clear them.
7. How long we keep information
- Lead and project records: kept for as long as you are an active lead or customer, and then retained for up to seven (7) years for tax, warranty, and statute-of-limitations purposes.
- SMS opt-out records: retained indefinitely so we can honor your STOP request.
- Server logs: rotated regularly by our hosting provider; typically retained for less than 90 days.
8. How we protect information
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect. This includes encrypted transport (HTTPS) for everything on this Site, access controls on our database and customer-relationship platform, and limiting access to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
9. Your privacy rights
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you.
- Receive a copy of that information.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Stop sending you marketing messages (you can also reply STOP to any text).

10. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act give you specific rights regarding your personal information.
Categories of personal information we collect:
- Identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address).
- Customer records (service address, billing details).
- Commercial information (services you've asked about, work performed).
- Internet activity (pages visited on the Site).
- Geolocation (city/region inferred from IP).
Sources: directly from you, automatically through your use of the Site, and from our service providers.
Business purposes:the purposes described in "How we use information" above.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 16. If we ever change that, we will provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link.

11. Children
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page. If we make a material change, we will provide additional notice (for example, by posting a banner on the Site or emailing customers we have a current relationship with).
